Are there grants out there for people to just get by in life? A second chance to make things right?
My name is Adam Milstead, and my passion is MMA (cage fighting). I have dreams in doing something great with my life rather than just go to college and get a good education. Now dont get me wrong, id love to do that, but at this time i dont have the money or time to go to college full time as well as support myself. Im 22 years old and id like to see what i could do if i had a second chance in life to get back up on my feet, get out of debt, and actually see what i could do in this sport if i just had the oppurtunity. Working 40 to 60 hours a week is killing my dream, but its what i have to do to survive. Im just wondering if theres any grants out there that help people in my situation, people that are just looking for a second chance, something to help me get by for now while i pursue my dream. Im in desperate need to get a car, im having trouble getting financed due to a prior repo, im barley making it to work, and my family is undable to support me. I dont have many options but im being proactive about finding more oppurtunites. Please help. Im just looking for a second chance, just wondering again if theres any grants out there that are available for people in my situation, if so please let me know and if able, how would i obtain these. Thank you for reading, and your help…

No, sorry, if you’re thinking about Government grants. There MIGHT be some strange sort of individual who has left an inheritance to guys who think they can contribute to the "sport".
But I seriously doubt it.
You’re not looking for a "second chance" you’re looking for someone to pay your living expenses while you try out for something you think you might enjoy. This is not really being "proactive." It’s just another childish fantasy.

Sure, that would be filed under "FairyTales and other non-existent things". Sorry to burst your bubble but no there are no grants to do anything like that.
You might however, try checking into http://www.livestrong.com and check out the fighter’s corner.
Who knows you might make some connections there and be able to follow your dreams.
