Being a trillion dollar company, I find it hard to believe that primerica is a scam but then again, their plan is to help families in a way which seems to be too good to be true? Getting people out of debt as fast as they could? Well believe it or not… I have seen it with my own eyes that primerica does change many lives, and they don’t convince you to buy anything, they basically teach you how money works and then talks about your life insurance and w.e… wheater you are getting ripped off or not, and if primerica can do a better job. It’s this families decision to see wheter or not they want to join or not, primerica doesn’t do anything in convincing, but in helping. It’s kind of like social work, but in a business perspectives, helping people financially. I remember a rep from primerica who came over and thought my family about how money works and my parents found it amusing, they told my parents if they don’t mind, if they can bring their policies and w.e… the rep looked at it and said "hey you guys are doing great" and didn’t bother selling anything… even tho he lost business, primerica isn’t in it just for the money. You have to be dedicated in helping people and starting your own business at the same time.
It’s hard to believe it’s a scam…
I just wonder how they got a bad reputation?

It is against the law to be fired or laid off for getting your wages garnished. I know that if you have more then one then they can. I have done research and employees are protected under a certain law. I live in the state of Michigan. I understand that Michigan is an at will state. Employees can be fired for any reason but they cannot be fired for getting their wages garnished you are protected. I was wondering if anyone has ever been involved in a lawsuit or know of anyone for that reason. I was getting my wages garnished by a creditor. At first my work was taking 100% of my pay. I went to court made payment arrangements and the court ordered them to give me back all of my money but 25%. Which they did. I was pregnant at the time and when I took my maternity leave I could not pay the arrangement. I went back to work and my work got papers to garnish my wages again. They told me if I did not talk with the creditor they would start taking 100% of my pay again. I told them it is only suppose to be 25%. I even gave them a piece of paper from the court, with step by step on how to garnish wages. They did not garnish again. Instead they told me I am not allowed to work there until I take care of the garnishment. They even wrote a letter stating due to the garnishment all of my shifts are taken away and until I show them proof that it is taken care I am not allowed to work there. I told them that I could not pay it off especially if I wasn’t working and the creditor will not accept payment arrangement. I have called a few employment lawyers and they all said it is against the law and I can sue for lost wages and compensation but for me to try and work out the debt or with my employer. I know with lawyers they get paid out of the settlement. I am not looking to get rich off of this and I have never sued anyone in my life. I don’t understand if it is against the law and I have a lawsuit why am I having such a problem. I really would appreciate if you don’t respond with comment that say pay your bills. I understand that I did this to myself by letting my debt go but I didn’t deserve to be basically fired for getting my wages garnished. I have 3 children and its hard enough to find a job. I worked there for 3 years and no I am not on welfare .
I talked to a few employment lawyers they all said it is against the law and I have a case but to try and work it out.

I want to sit down and go over what we pay each month, such as bills, food costs, gas, ect. I feel like if we sat down together and actually went over everything, we could come up with an effective way to budget money and save for things we used to want together (such as a house, a newer car-which we will be needing soon). My husband refuses to do this with me. He says that we don’t have to sit down together to realize how much debt we have. I have tried to explain my plan of being proactive and trying to figure out ways out of our debt but he refuses. He would rather pretend the debt doesn’t exist and spend our money the way he sees fit, I get no say-so. He even refuses to let me do the grocery shopping! The bills are mostly in his name, he would spend money when I told him it wasn’t a good idea and now we’re in trouble. He claims it’s my fault as much as his. He goes out with his friends every saturday night, he is going to every college football this season (as he did last year) and he is going back to school. I never go anywhere, and when I do, the things I do are free, like visiting my mom or sister or taking the little ones to the park. Please help, I don’t know how to talk to him in a way to make him listen. He refuses to go to marriage counseling, he says He doesn’t need some stranger knowing our business.
I don’t mind him going out and having fun, whether it be to the game or out with friends. The issue is that we are drowning in debt and I want us to work as a team to get out of it, rather than me being the only responsible one, and if anyone has control issues, it’s my husband.

Hello,

I need help with going through with a breakup. I have been with my bf for 6 years, and things from the beginning started out way too fast, and to be honest, the whole relationship has just been a disaster.

We have been through so many rough and bad times, that it just seems to be time to finally go our own ways.

I don’t feel that my bf has ever truly loved me. He has cheated, (says it was never sexual, but I’m not sure) Has lied pretty much since day one. He berates me on a daily basis, and we just don’t get along.

We have both made mistakes, but when I own up to mine, and my part, he refuses to do the same. I have waited for him to change, but he never sticks to anything, and I know its because he has low self esteem. I have tried to get help for the both of us, and to be honest, he just doesn’t want it and or wants any responsibility.

He does the blame game, and its always to me. Its apparently my fault for his life not going the way he wants, for not seeing his family, for him and his brother not getting along, for us not getting along, for never going anywhere, not having friends etc. It’s simply my fault for all.

I have been there since day one, lied for him, fought with him to go up to his family’s house, family functions, funerals, to hangout, do things, get help together or alone, be close, talk things through, paid his bills to help him get out of debt, truly gone out of my way to help and be there, to show him I care and always did, etc. And he literally takes advantage.

I have felt used, betrayed, lied to etc. How do I go through with this break up when I am truly very much attached? How do I get the balls to let him go, and stick to it? I’ve tried this in the past, and I always stop it. I have gained a very loving relationship with his mom, and so it bothers me to think that she may act differently towards me when I pull the plug. I’ve tried to explain things to her on how we’ve been, and she doesn’t truly think her son is capable of such things, and always makes excuses for him.

She is quite lonely, and honestly oblivious to things. She knows its there, but she chooses to not acknowledge it.

How does America get out of debt if it’s costing more for a dollar than they are charging and one organization ultimately owns all the money anyway?
I could look all this up but it’s more interesting hearing real opinions on it.
